We are currently one of the busiest children’s hospices in the UK supporting more than 250 families throughout the North West who have a child with a terminal or life threatening condition.

Our catchment area is considerable, stretching from Carlisle in the North, across to Yorkshire, Manchester and the Wirral, and with a relatively small fundraising team, working with volunteer groups across the North West, we face a daunting task in raising the £1.8 million we need each year. However, we are building a new 4 bedded your persons unit which can be accessed by young adults up to the age of 23 which will take our annual income requirements up to £2.2 million. Fundraising like this wonderful event is essential to our work, as is the profile raising that comes with it.

It all makes such a huge difference to us. St. George’s Day is a great occasion for a festival like this, and one which I’m sure will capture the public’s imagination.
