The highlight of the social calendar on the Fylde Coast, this fantastic afternoon kick starts the summer festivities, which this year includes the London Olympics and Diamond Jubilee celebrations, This all promises to be a really special year, especially if you are a patriotic Englishman or Lady.
The day starts at 12.30 with a welcoming glass of Pink Champagne or Pimms for the ladies and a pint of real ale for the men.
Festivities get under way almost immediately with pre-meal entertainment from the George Formby Tribute Band and the Houghton Weavers.
Don’t forget wear your best outfit and hat (this is the next best thing to Ascot ladies) as the best dressed friends will have the chance to win a fabulous weekend for two in London.
Then its time to sit down to a five star lunch provided by one of Lancashire’s best catering companies – Rowleys of St Annes. This four course lunch will knock your socks off – not the usual tomato soup and skinny piece of chicken you are used to receiving at some do’s!
Throughout lunch you will be entertained by Fylde Coast’s number one party entertainer Tazz who is guaranteed to not only have you in stitches but also participating in a wide variety of games.
Following on from this we have entertainment and dancing all afternoon from the well known Ian Hooper Band.
Festivities come to a close at 7.00 pm when you will just have to walk (or stumble) across the road for a chance to sample the local eateries and drinking delights of Lytham.
