Councillor John Williams
Vice Chair, Royal Society of St George
The Royal Society of St. George was founded in 1894 with the objective of promoting all that is English, and the English way of life. We are lucky to count Her Majesty the Queen as patron, we are delighted to be associated with this initiative to make St. George’s Day a national holiday.
It has long been an ambition of the society to see St. George’s Day recognised as a national holiday, and Lytham St. Annes is proving to be leading the way in this respect.
It is fantastic to see this festival shaping up to be so successful and I would call on potential sponsors and attendees to get involved in any way they can to help these chosen charities which do such wonderful work.
