As a founding trustee of The Haythornthwaite Sports Foundation, we are more than delighted to support the Lytham St Annes St. George’s Day Festival.

As a patriot and Lythamite myself, I am only too well aware of the benefit this event can have, not just for local business people, but the local community in general.

This is a unique and ambitious initiative that I believe will put our area on the map and I am proud to be part of it.

HSF is the dream-child of, as the name would suggest, David Haythornthwaite. David will generously donate twenty-six acres of land in Wrea Green to develop a centre of sporting excellence for the people of the Fylde Coast. It is envisaged that the project will provide facilities for cricket, rugby, football and tennis and the Trustees hope to be working very closely with junior teams and local schools in particular.

We are pleased to be one of the good causes nominated to benefit from the St. George’s Day Festival. By supporting this fantastic festival everyone concerned can feel confident that they are putting something back into the community.
