St Annes First Annual St Georges Day Festival

Welcome from Fylde Borough Council

Councillor John Coombes

Leader, Fylde Borough Council

John Coombes

I am absolutely delighted to support the St. George celebrations for Lytham St Anne’s and Fylde.

Fylde Borough Council is very keen to see the area become a cultural focus in England for celebrating the Patron Saint, and we are happy to throw our weight behind this festival.

Not only is it raising some much needed funds for some essential charities, but the festival will also raise the profile of Lytham St Annes in a spectacular fashion.

It is important to remember that this festival is not just for the people of Lytham St. Annes, but for anybody who feels passionate about St. George’s Day. I would appeal to people of all ages and backgrounds to get involved in any way they can and make it a huge success.

Councillor Paul Rigby

Mayor of Fylde

Susan Fazackerley

I am absolutely delighted to see the St George’s Day Festival once again in Lytham St Annes.
I know that the organisers have put a huge effort into making this a celebration that we can all be proud of and I look forward to attending the exciting events which I know will be well supported.
St George’s Day is a great cause for festivities and Fylde people should be honoured to lead the way.  Indeed, I hope that it will encourage more groups to start their own celebrations.
May I take this opportunity to wish everyone a very happy St George’s Day Weekend.

I LOOK FORWARD TO THE DAY WHEN IT IS THE NORM FOR BUSINESSES TO GIVE STAFF THE DAY OFF TO ENJOY FUNDRAISING CELEBRATIONS
